The Necessary Caveats: Neurodiversity Is Not a Uniform Advantage Framework

The neurodiversity framework’s more careful academic proponents, and the specific research reviewed in this article, do not claim that ADHD or autism should be understood as unambiguously advantageous conditions, or that documented associated cognitive strengths straightforwardly offset the genuine, often substantial functional impairments these conditions can involve, particularly in more severe presentations.
